Singularity is a 24-hour national-level hackathon bringing students together to solve real-world problems, build innovative solutions, and turn ideas into working prototypes, organised by the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering along with Placement Cell at A J Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mangalore in collaboration with IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Mangalore Subsection.

Dive deep into the realm of Artificial Intelligence and explore its frontiers across three core tracks. Participants will be challenged to build innovative solutions that push the boundaries of modern technology. The exact problem statements for each track will be exclusively revealed on the day of the hackathon.

Applications are reviewed for eligibility, technical background, and resume quality.
Eligibility
- Open to all UG and PG students pursuing B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Computer Science.
- Teams can have 2 to 4 members.
- Participants may form teams with members from different colleges.
Rules
- Each team must register with accurate member details and contact information.
- Teams must adhere to the event code of conduct.
- All members must be available for the full event timeline.
Resume Screening
- Selection is based on the team resume and relevant technical background.
- GitHub and LinkedIn profiles may be reviewed as part of the background check.
- No prototype, PPT, or idea submission is required at this stage.
Selection & Commencement
- Shortlisted teams will be notified after the review process.
- The hack and program kickoff begins on 17th September 2026.
- The process focuses on resume-based review and team fit.
